She is currently the Chairperson and Editorial Director at HT Media Limited, India’s largest listed media company, part of India’s illustrious Birla group.
In her career spanning more than three decades, she led the process of cultural transformation at HT Media, and converted it into a high quality, forward looking professional media organization. She pioneered the strategy fundamental to the company’s rapid growth and foray into education. Her efforts have contributed to the company winning global awards including the Best Media Company in India to Work For in 2012.

Professor Souvik Bhattacharyya is the Vice Chancellor of BITS Pilani and Professor-on-Lien of IIT Kharagpur. He has been Dean and Deputy Director of IIT Kharagpur, Vice Chancellor of Jadavpur University; he also held faculty position at University of Canterbury, New Zealand.
He completed his BME from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, MS from University of Cincinnati, and PhD from Texas A&M University, all in Mechanical Engineering.
Prof Bhattacharyya has over 250 publications in indexed journals and refereed conference proceedings; he is the co-author of the celebrated Heat Transfer text with J P Holman. S P Kothari is the Gordon Y Billard Professor of Accounting and Finance at the Sloan School of Management. Previously, he served as global head of equity research for Barclays Global Investors. He was named the Chief Economist and Director of the Division of Economic and Risk Analysis in March 2019. In this role, he oversees economists, data scientists, and other professionals who provide financial economics and data science in support of the SEC’s mission. Dr. Kothari joined the SEC from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was a professor of accounting and finance and a former Deputy Dean. Tulsi Mirchandaney Nowlakha is the Managing Director and Accountable Manager for Blue Dart Aviation, India’s only domestic cargo airline and South Asia’s largest, with a fleet of six Boeing 757 freighters. Blue Dart Aviation is the only cargo airline that has sustained its operations in India for the past twenty two years. During her tenure, the company expanded its capacity with the induction of 4 additional, more fuel-efficient freighters. Her responsibility spans the organisation’s flight and ground operations, inhouse airframe line and heavy maintenance, and ground handling activities, with a workforce of over 1100 committed professionals. Tulsi has an MBA degree in International Aviation from Concordia University, Montreal, and has been felicitated by the Ministry of Civil Aviation for her contribution to Civil Aviation in the country.
BITSoM complies with all COVID related guidelines and protocols as specified by the government to ensure the highest standards of health and safety for its students, faculty, and staff. Current government regulations do not allow for physical in-person classes in Mumbai and therefore all classes are being held online. Our interim campus in Mumbai is fully ready and functional. As soon as physical in-person classes are permitted, we will commence these at our campus.
While completely adhering to government regulations, we also do not want to compromise on peer learning. Therefore, BITSoM student residences in Mumbai have been made operational, and our students have been given the option of staying at the facility. All students who wish to stay at the student residences must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and adhere to the COVID guidelines as issued by the government.
