WELCOMING NEW FACULTY TO BITSoM
This academic year, BITSoM is delighted to welcome three outstanding scholars to its faculty. With experience at some of the world’s leading institutions, they bring fresh perspectives that will enrich our classrooms and contribute to BITSoM’s growing research ecosystem.
DR DEEPANSHI BHARDWAJ
Joining the Operations & Technology Management area, Dr Deepanshi Bhardwaj comes to BITSoM from the UCL School of Management, University College London, where she pursued her doctoral research.
Her work explores people-centric operations, innovation management, and service operations, with a focus on understanding how technology shapes organizational performance and customer experiences.
DR RACHIT KAMDAR
Dr Rachit Kamdar joins the Information Systems and Business Analytics area after completing his PhD in Information Systems at the University of Maryland, College Park. His research examines the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in hiring, digital platforms, and organizational decision-making.
DR SREEKRISHNAN VENKATASUBRAMANIAN
Joining the Accounting area, Dr Sreekrishnan Venkatasubramanian completed his doctoral studies at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
His research focuses on auditing, regulatory oversight, and investor decision-making. A Chartered Accountant and CFA Level I qualifier, he combines academic excellence with industry experience.
FACULTY ACHIEVEMENTS
Our faculty continue to contribute to the global academic community through research, conference presentations, and professional service.
Prof Meenakshi Balakrishna presented her research on brand personality and visual storytelling at the American Marketing Association (AMA) Winter Academic Conference.
Prof Parasuram Balasubramanian presented his research at the Strategic Management Society (SMS) Annual Conference in San Francisco and the India Strategy Conference at ISB Hyderabad.
Prof Prabhu Venkatachalam presented at the JAAF India Accounting Conference (IIM Bangalore) and served as a reviewer for Accounting Theory and Practice and IIMB Management Review.
Prof Shehzala attended leading international conferences, delivering a lightning talk on AI and Case-Based Teaching at IIT Bombay’s TCAAI Conference, serving as a judge for the AMA Case Competition, and chairing a session at MICA’s International Communication Management Conference.
These milestones reflect BITSoM’s growing presence in the global academic community and its continued commitment to advancing impactful research and thought leadership.
